Synopsis
A ridge of surface high pressure will remain positioned over the central Atlantic Ocean...to the east of the Florida Peninsula... for much of the upcoming week. This will result in light prevailing south to southwest winds over the local waters through at least the middle of next week. A chance of showers and thunderstorms will occur each period...with rain chances diminishing slightly early next week as an upper level ridge of high pressure builds across South Florida.
