Strong breezes will persist into early next week as a large area of high pressure near the Carolina coastline builds southeastward. These strong breezes...along with occasional gale force wind gusts...will be responsible for hazardous boating conditions this afternoon into early next week. A Gale Warning may be required for Keys waters later this weekend into early next week. The approximate shoreward edge of the Gulf Stream current...as of November 6th... 35 nm south of Dry Tortugas light...on Loggerhead Key. 32 nm south of Cosgrove Shoal light...off the Marquesas Keys. 13 nm south of Sand Key light...off Key West. 4 nm south of Looe Key...off Big Pine Key. 6 nm south of Sombrero Key light...off Marathon. 2 nm southeast of Alligator Reef light...off Islamorada. 2 nm southeast of Molasses Reef light...off Key Largo. 2 nm east of Carysfort Reef light...off Ocean Reef.
