Synopsis For The Suwannee River To Destin Out To 60 Nm
Synopsis
A ridge of high pressure to the northeast will combine with newly re-strengthened Tropical Storm Ida which was located at 17.1 degrees north and 84.1 degrees west...or about 300 miles to the southeast of Cozumel Mexico as of 400 am EST this morning...will keep winds and seas elevated across the region today...but likely just below Small Craft Advisory levels. By tonight...however... Small Craft Advisory conditions are expected to overtake the coastal waters from north to south...with an extended period of very rough conditions for all marine interests now expected for much if not all of the remainder of the upcoming week including the remainder of this weekend. In fact...a period a gale conditions... either sustained or in the form or frequent gusts now appears very likely in the Monday through Wednesday time frame...so all marine interests should keep abreast of the latest coastal waters forecasts from the National Weather Service and the latest tropical weather advisories from the National Hurricane Center on Ida...which is expected to become an extra-tropical cyclone before reaching our latitude.
