Snow in the evening...mixing with rain at sea level after midnight. Blowing snow in Turnagain Pass will reduce visibilities below one half mile at times. Snow accumulation ranging from 3 inches at sea level to 6 to 12 inches through Turnagain Pass. Lows in the upper 20s to mid 30s. East wind 30 to 45 mph. Through Portage Valley and Turnagain Arm...east wind 30 to 45 mph increasing to 55 to 65 mph with gusts to 80 mph after midnight.

Snow and rain...heavy at times in the morning. Snow accumulation ranging from none at sea level to 4 to 8 inches near Turnagain Pass. Highs in the mid 30s to lower 40s. East wind 20 to 35 mph decreasing to 15 to 30 mph in the afternoon. Through Portage Valley and Turnagain Arm...east wind 50 to 65 mph with gusts to 80 mph. Gusts will diminish by late afternoon.

Snow and rain in the evening...then numerous snow and rain showers after midnight. Snow accumulation up to 2 inches near the pass. Storm total snow accumulation 12 to 22 inches near Turnagain Pass. Lows in the 20s to 30s...coldest inland. Southeast wind 10 to 20 mph except southeast 25 to 35 mph through Portage Valley and Turnagain Arm.

... High Wind Warning in effect from midnight tonight to 4 PM akst
Monday for eastern Turnagain Arm and Portage Valley...

The National Weather Service in Anchorage has issued a High Wind
Warning... which is in effect from midnight tonight to 4 PM akst
Monday for eastern Turnagain Arm and Portage Valley. The high
wind watch is no longer in effect.

Dangerous winds to Portage Valley and eastern
turnagain tonight. East wind will increase to 40 to 65 mph with
gusts to 80 mph through Portage Valley and Turnagain Arm by
midnight. These winds are expected to continue through Monday
afternoon before diminishing.|

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. People are urged to secure loose objects that could
be blown around or damaged by the wind.

Drivers of high profile vehicles should use extreme caution when traveling
through eastern Turnagain Arm and Portage Valley late tonight and
during the day Monday.
