Wind Advisory
Statement as of 6:16 PM PST on November 22, 2009

... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 10 am PST Monday...

The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard has continued
a Wind Advisory for the Los Angeles and Ventura County mountains.
This advisory remains in effect until 10 am PST Monday.

Areas of northwest to north winds 25 to 40 mph with gusts to 55
mph will occur through late tonight... then the winds will shift to
the northeast. Isolated gusts to 60 mph are possible this
evening. The strongest winds are expected in the vicinity of
north-to-south oriented canyons... especially near the Interstate 5
corridor this evening. After midnight... the winds are expected to
shift to a northeast direction affecting northeast-to-southwest
canyons such as the Soledad Pass. This advisory may need to be
extended into Tuesday and possibly midweek.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph or greater are
expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult...
especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
