The more moderate rain will occur mainly east of Asheboro and Burlington...from the Triangle east to Interstate 95 and north into Virginia. Rainfall amounts between a quarter to a half inch are expected through the early morning hours. The heaviest rainfall amounts will occur along and east of Highway 1 to east of Interstate 95.
