A dense fog advisory is in effect over all of North Texas through mid morning Monday. Areas of fog will continue increasing through sunrise...before burning off around mid to late morning. Persons commuting Monday morning will need to allow extra time to reach their destination...use low beams...and allow extra room between vehicles for safe travel.

Areas of dense fog through mid morning. Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 70s. South winds 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight
Mostly cloudy. A chance of showers mainly after midnight. Lows in the lower 50s. South winds 5 to 10 mph shifting to the west after midnight. Chance of rain 30 percent.
Tuesday
Mostly cloudy with a less than 20 percent chance of showers in the morning...then mostly sunny in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 60s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph.

Light winds and clear skies have resulted in areas of fog developing across North Texas. Visibilities will continue to drop through the early morning hours... with areas of dense fog becoming likely toward early morning. Visibilities will be reduced to less than one quarter mile at times and will be most likely to occur in low lying areas and rural areas. Visibilities are expected to improve during the mid morning hours.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A dense fog advisory means visibilities will be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down... use your low-beam headlights... and leave plenty of distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you.
